Third generation showbiz celebrities Elmo Magalona and Janine Guttierez confirm they’re an itemTwo young stars from famous showbiz families have fallen in love.Elmo Magalona, son of the late Master Rapper Francis M., confirmed that he and Janine Gutierrez—the beautiful daughter of erstwhile husband and wife Monching Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon—are officially together.Elmo further shared with The Sunday Times Magazine that they are “still in the early stages of their relationship,” which began as their TV series Villa Quintana was about to wrap up.“Bago pa lang,” Francis M.’s talented son said. “I only made my intentions clear towards the end of the series para mabigyan ko siya ng time na mag-focus sa work.”Asked what he likes about the granddaughter of Asia’s Queen of Song Pilita Corrales and Superstar Nora Aunor, Janine’s paternal and maternal grandmothers, respectively, he replied, “Marami. Malambing siya at mabait, and there’s just something na hindi mo lang ma-explain. We understand each other.”Janine, shyly shared that her parents approve of her new boyfriend. “They liked Elmo from the start. Nakikita naman nilang masaya ako. Nababasa ko rin ang mga interview ni Mama, ‘pag tinatanong siya tungkol sa akin, lagi pa niya akong binubuking!”Asked what they like to do together, the handsome couple said they enjoy eating out, “Food over flowers kasi ako. Palagi lang kaming kumakain,” Janine laughed.Elmo made his happy announcement during Janine’s post-birthday celebration for her fans on October 11 at Centerstage in Tomas Morato, Q.C.While singing, Janine and her fans were surprised when Elmo suddenly showed up and joined her onstage. Her special guests were even more thrilled when Janine announced that her next project for GMA Network will pair her with Elmo. Titled More Than Words, the show is scheduled for a November premiere.
