Emperador International Ltd. has acquired a 409-hectare vineyard in Spain which forms part of its plans to double production.
Also, the company is planning to introduce a new product, Emperador Deluxe Spanish Edition, in Vietnam next year.
A disclosure posted at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Thursday showed that Emperador International, through its Spanish subsidiary Grupo Emperador Spain S.A., purchased another 409 hectares of vineyard within the province of Madrid, Spain.
“We are building more vineyards in order to support our brandy production in Spain. We are very satisfied with the Philippine market’s reception for our Emperador Deluxe Spanish Edition, an Emperador product that is produced and bottled in Spain,” Jorge Domecq Bohórquez, managing director of Emperador International, said.
According to him, sales of the product have exceeded expectations since the company launched it in the Philippines a few months ago.
“We expect to more than double our sales volume for Emperador Deluxe next year,” Bohórquez further said.
“We are currently preparing to launch Emperador Deluxe to the Vietnam market next year,” he added.
Emperador International earlier earmarked P5.8 billion in investments for Spain over the next 12 months in its bid to solidify its presence in the global market.
