Sky Cable Corporation officially launched its latest product called the One Sky all-in-one subscription plan at a business luncheon in Rockwell, Makati City, headed by the ABS-CBN subsidiary’s CEO March Ventosa.
Held on October 13, Ventosa explained how this latest development in their services marks the company’s foray into convergent services for Filipinos in the evolving digital media landscape, as well as complementing ABS-CBN’s transformation into an agile digital company.
One Sky integrates a suite of internet, cable, and video-on-demand services “for a more enriching digital entertainment experience.”
According to Ventosa, postpaid plans for this bundle will allow subscribers access to Sky broadband’s high-speed internet, watch Sky cable’s premium HD cable TV, rely on Sky mobi’s mobile internet for cable shows on the go, and catch Sky On Demand’s live and on-demand video streaming of cable shows and movies.
“Sky recognizes the changing habits of the Filipino family, as well as their increasing reliance on internet connectivity for their daily activities. This new product is a bundle that offers seamless connected experience to families via a one subscription,” the executive said in his speech. “This is how we empower Filipinos and underscore our vision to bring the best content experiences closer to homes.”
It can be recalled that SKY Cable Corporation was first to introduce cable television to Filipinos in 1990.
