The entire province of Cavite is flooded due to continuous monsoon rains, and authorities reported two people dead and one is missing in the towns of Noveleta and Tanza.
Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla said Monday Noveleta was the hardest hit by floods.
In Tanza, residents fled to safer areas after cracks appeared in the 250-year-old Tanza Dam.
Remulla said the stretch of Aguinaldo Highway from Imus City to Bacoor City is under six feet of water.
Imus Police Chief Redrico Maranan sent policemen to help rescue residents who were stranded on rooftops in Prima Rosa Subdivision in Buhay na Tubig.
Remulla said most of the roads leading to Cavite were submerged. Only DaangHari exiting to Alabang is passable, he said.
