Erich Gonzales to end year with triumphant heart

In tiptop shape and thriving in showbiz, everything is going great for Erich Gonzales. Part of the 2017 Metro Manila Festival entry “Siargao,” she told In the Know at the movie’s press conference that she learned so much in the past year, especially after going through a major breakup.

She started over by deciding to switch to a fresher take on showbiz projects, preferring roles that are bolder and direct to the point. In Siargao, for example, she is heartbroken blogger who flees to the teardrop-shaped province.

“Maraming makaka-relate sa character ko kasi marami rin naman nagdaan sa ganoong klaseng pagsubok pero pinapakita talaga rito yung proseso ng pagdadaanan doon,” she said of her role.

Obviously, Erich has many similarities with her character’s story, which is why she admitted she had so much “hugot” in her portrayal. She was quick to clarify that her heart has mended and healed, and that she was “whole again” while doing the movie.

“Naka-move on na po talaga ako noong ginagawa ko ang pelikula at wala na ako hang up. Masaya na po talaga ako ngayon and I intend to keep it that way.”

As a media practitioner, it is heartening to see a broadcast entity that stays afloat outside the ABS-CBN and GMA Network conglomerates. It was therefore such a treat when In The Know got to talk to Wish FM 107.5’s head honcho Daniel Razon about his plans for his flourishing radio station, whose online presence is especially going strong.

With more than 1.5 million subscribers in YouTube, their OPM artist guests are always trending in the format whenever hop on the Wish Bus and go around the metro singing their hits.

Big names such as Gary V., Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera and the like have performed on this roving radio station and have said how much fun it is!

Because of the success of each episode they upload online on YouTube, Razon said that by 2018 the Wish FM Bus will be debuting in Hollywood. Yes, you read that right—Hollywood.

“That will be our expansion focus for next year and you can expect Hollywood singers to join us, but we will still make sure to focus on our OPM and Fil-Am talents. Mahalaga na ma-enjoy din ito ng mga kababayan natin abroad and show them what we are enjoying back here.”

By the way, the voting is on for the third Wish 107.5 Music Awards, which will happen on January 15, 2018 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

GUESS WHO? This celebrity offspring-slash-“influencer” is gaining quite the reputation in her circuit for developing a lavish lifestyle from her recent Instagram posts and constant travels. COI clearly doesn’t have a job but her last name gets her into several events for the free booze, as well as to be seen and connect.

While there’s no crime in what she’s doing, those she hangs out with have been noticing that she never offers to pay and always promises to payback whoever used their credit card for the bill. She got away with it a few times before but since it’s become a habit, one of her hang out buddies was forced to divulge her ways on the comments section of COI’s Instagram. With the truth behind her high-flying life uncovered for her 418,000 followers, she promptly deleted her account into oblivion.

Until next week, ta-ta!
