Erte inspires grand ball

The annual Club Bulakeño affair marked its 27th anniversary ball, which featured a themed inspired by the works of Russian-born, French artist and designer, Romain de Tirtoff, better known as Erte. This brought to life a night of high fashion filled with Gatsby décor and glamorous costumes.

Club Bulakeño presidents Jonas Cabochan, and Shelly Lazaro welcomed prominent Bulakeños in business, government, socio-civic service, media, and corporate center, and all their friends and supporters.

Esteemed club members, officers and directors played a big part of the night as they provided entertainment to the guests with their production numbers staged with the wonderful help and support of its benefactors. There was a fashion show featuring the fabulous designs of Erte, followed by dance numbers of waltz, foxtrot, tango and Charleston.

Guests and members alike—these philanthropic people come together once a year to generate funds for the education, social amelioration, and disaster relief operations of their needy compatriots.

The much-awaited part of the program is the Huwarang Anak ng Bulakan award ceremonies where the Club recognizes and pays tribute to the outstanding achievements of meticulously selected Bulakeños in various fields of endeavor.

This year’s awardees who continue to shine and be a blessing to a lot of people, especially to their kababayans were Che Che Lazaro for Broadcast Journalism, Roberto Pagdanganan for Good Governance, Bienvenido “Donnie” Tantoco 3rd for Innovative Entrepreneurship in the Retail Industry, Roman Felipe Reyes for Accountancy, and last but not the least Josefina “Jessie” Sincioco for the Culinary Arts.

The event lasted until midnight with ballroom dancing for surely, another affair to remember.

And yet we are already looking forward for Club Bulakeño’s big ball slated in November at Sofitel under the new Presidents Jimmy Buhain and Milo Bondoc.

Lastly, congratulations Tess Castro, chairman of organizing committee for the success of the Erte Ball!
