COLOMBIAN challenger Jorle Estrada promised to beat World Boxing Organization (WBO) minimum weight champion Merlito Sabillo in the seventh round when they clash on Saturday in the main event of Pinoy Pride XXI: When Worlds Collide at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City.

“I prepared for 12 rounds but I feel good that the fight will end in the seventh round. I came here to win,” said Estrada, who holds 17-6 win-loss card with six knockouts, through an interpreter during Tuesday’s Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum at Shakey’s Malate.

“I’m expecting a tough fight against Sabillo. I have observed him through his past fights and I’m well aware of his style,” added the 24-year-old Estrada. “I have the desire to win. I am happy to represent Colombia in my first fight here in the Philippines.”

Sabillo, 29, with a fight record of 22-0 with 11 knockouts, KOd Colombian Luis de La Rosa (22-2-1 slate with 12KOs) on March 9 to win the WBO interim belt. His bout with Estrada is his first title defense.

In the other matches, King Arthur Villanueva (22-0 12 KOs) meets Mexican Arturo Badillo (21-4, 19 KOs) for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific superflyweight belt, AJ Banal (28-2-1 with 20 KOs) faces Mexican Abraham Gomez (18-7-1 with nine KOs) in a come back fight while Prince Albert Pagara (16-0 with 11 KOs) clashes with Thailand’s Khunkhiri Wor Wisaruth (10-8-1 with nine KOs) in an eight-round 122 lbs. weight class bout.
