Former mayor Felix Uy of Baclayon, Bohol and his wife Marilyn, who is currently a member of the Sangguniang Bayan, as well as former vice-mayor Joel Oppus are facing charges in connection with a 25-year lease deal for a stall in the public market.

The Office of the Ombudsman has found probable cause to charge them before the Sandiganbayan for alleged violations of Section 3(e) and (h) of the Anti-Graft Law, Section 7(a) of the Code of Conduct of Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, and Section 89 (a) (1) of the Local Government Code - laws which prohibit public officials and employees from having conflicting financial, material, pecuniary or business interests.
