Former Mayor Aldrin San Pedro of Muntinlupa and 11 others were charged with graft at the Sandiganbayan in connection with the alleged anomalous purchase of trolley bags in 2008.
In the charge sheet approved by Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, Assistant Special Prosecutor II Lyn Dimayuga claimed that the respondents issued a purchase order and ordered the release of P22 million for CLMP Trading even without an appropriation. She said the purchase of the trolley bags was not in the city’s 2008 Annual Procurement Plan.
