Ex-village watchman, drug supplier slain in QC

A barangay tanod (village watchman) and a suspected drug supplier were killed in a drug-bust in Quezon City Sunday.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, identified the slain suspects as Nelson Puzon, 42, former barangay tanod of Brgy. Sangandaan and Jhuver Bryan Padilla, 35.

Puzon is in the drug list of QCPD Station 3. Padilla is a known drug courier and peddler.

Eleazar said police operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at Puzon’s residence but Padilla sensed the presence of other lawmen. The suspects fired at the lawmen who retaliated, hitting them. The two were rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital but were pronounced dead on arrival.
