• Exciting, new music festival slated in Manila



    There’s nothing quite like finding out that some of your all-time favorite bands on tour, more so playing at the same music festival along with other amazing acts. But what often follows is a sinking feeling in your chest brought about by the painful realization that finally seeing them is so much expensive. Not this time!

    A whole new music festival in Manila is set to go head-to-head with its international counterparts: ladies and gents, prepare to dive into great music and so much more at the GoodVybes Fest.

    Headliners are Passion Pit, Chvrches, and Oh Wonder.

    Finally coming our way is the highly anticipated, much-awaited, American indie-electronica band Passion Pit, known for hits like “Take A Walk” and “Carried Away.” Catch them perform favorites from their hit album Gossamer, and latest release Kindred.

    Joining them is another Crowd favorite Chvrches, the Glasgow-based synthpop band that charmed their way to the hearts of Filipinos in November 2014. Fans on social media clamored for their return—and with much success. They’re set to light the stage up once again with tracks off their recently released sophomore album Every Open Eye.

    Rounding out the very first GoodVybes is one act poised to make some major waves in the music scene—Oh Wonder. A pop duo from London, It has 2.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify and 3.9 million views on YouTube—stellars numbers that are still on rise.

    Up and coming artists are joining the headliners like Tenderfist from Kuala Lumpur, and international DJs Busy P, Darius and MYD. The local music scene will not be left behind as favorites Kwjan, Brigada, Brisom, Moonwlk, Assembly Generals, Mulan, Samantha Nicole, Pelvis Relsey and The Sex Offender, and BP Valenzuela are ready to amp up the GoodVybes.

    Besides music, GoodVybes also fuses fashion and fun into the mix with different booths and activities to enjoy. Walk down Food Market for the best festival grub sans the hefty price. Prepare the for the wildest Water Gun Fight of your life. Afterwards, take a dip in the pools scattered throughout the venue to cool off. Sit back and lounge around the Gaming Tent to kill time, or better yet, explore the glorious three-hectare festival space with free WiFi.

    Don’t miss out the hippest festival set to happen in Manila on February 20 at the Asean Open Grounds at Parañaque City. An estimated 13,000 people are expected to attend GoodVybes.
