Expanding martial law beyond Mindanao is always an option, given the threat that Islamic State (IS)-inspired groups may attack anywhere, Palace Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said on Sunday.

“We, in government, are open to all options. If something happens, then we will apply what is necessary,” Palace Communications Secretary Martin Andanar in a radio interview when asked about the official position of the President or the Palace on the possible triggers to the declaration of martial law nationwide.
