Expanded number coding scheme pushed

1

A QUEZON City councilor has proposed an ordinance expanding the existing ‘number coding’ scheme within the territorial jurisdiction of the city putting penalties to its violators. The proposal of Councilor Ramon “Toto” Medalla of District 2 bans all private vehicles from using all major highways, avenues and streets in the city from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. depending on the last digit of a vehicle’s license plate number. Medalla said the ordinance, if passed, will not apply on Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. He said private cars will be allowed to use the roads during the window hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Of course, the family, friends and cohorts of this grandstanding nincompoop would be able to get exceptions should it be allowed to happen. Suggestion to him to make a good impact to everyone in Quezon City; Go to the top floor of the Q.C. Hall building and jump off!
