Expect light rains over extreme northern Luzon due to a trough of low pressure area affecting the area, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday.
In its advisory, PAGASA said that due to the trough or extended cloudiness of LPA, the Ilocos Region and the Islands of Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
It added that the rest of the country including Metro Manila will continue to have fair weather and will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA also said that light to moderate winds coming from the south to southwest will prevail over Luzon and from the south over Visayas and Mindanao.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. PNA
