The tail-end of a cold front will bring light to moderate rains over Northern and Central Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday.
The tail-end of a cold front is the front boundary of two air masses, which produces clouds and rain.
In its advisory, PAGASA said that Bicol region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms while Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and the rest of central luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains.
The rest of the country will continue to experience a mixture of sunny and rainy weather due to localized thunderstorms.
It added that moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
PAGASA also issued gale warning as strong to gale force winds associated with the surge of Northeast Monsoon is expected to affect the Northern and Western seaboards of Northern Luzon and the Eastern seaboard of Luzon.
“Fishing boats and other small sea crafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it said. PNA
