Explosion rocks MSU campus in Marawi City


AN explosion caused by a grenade rocked the campus of Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur province dawn on Thursday, police reports said on Friday.

Reports at the Philippine National Police (PNP) national operations center in Camp Crame said that the explosion occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on Thursday after still unidentified men lobbed a grenade inside the MSU campus.

The reports said the blast occurred just outside the building that houses the Center for Women Studies.

Aside from damaged ceiling and broken windows, no one was reported hurt in the incident. Marawi City Police are still conducting their investigation. ANTHONY VARGAS
