• Exports fell again in April


    Demand for Philippine products in the world market continued to slip, and April shipments fell 4.1 percent to $4.254 billion from $4.434 billion a year earlier pulling total shipment for the first four months of the year down by 7.3 percent to $17.363 billion from  $18.738 billion in the corresponding period of 2015.

    Data the Philippine Statistics Authority released Friday showed that the export item that suffered the most was apparel and clothing accessories. It fell 39.1 percent.
