Fake priest unmasked in Laguna

In a predominantly Catholic nation like the Philippines, fake priests are a dime a dozen, as in the case of other professions or vocations, but they continue to surface and resurface time and again. This time it happened in the Diocese of San Pablo City in Laguna province where a certain “Fr. Michael P. Caadan,” was unmasked as a “fake” following verification from higher Church authorities. San Pablo Bishop Buenaventura M. Famadico, in a circular dated February 27, warned Catholics in the area about Caadan, who claimed as a missionary priest of the “Missionarios do Santissima Trinidad,” and affiliated with Tahanan ni Maria, a Church-based group.

Is there a law that punishes such behavior? This guy probably heard the many confessions of many people and probably profited by them. There is no better business than the business of religion !!!
