SAN JOSE CITY: At least 2,000 Italian buffaloes acquired recently by the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija will be given to farmers for their livelihood. In a statement, PCC said that the carabaos will remain as property of the Center but will be pastured by qualified farmers who submitted their requests and who have complied with the recently held farmers’ training for this livelihood. PCC Executive Director Libertado Cruz said they will supervise and monitor the areas where these carabaos will be pastured. Meanwhile, the PCC said it has also purchased carabaos from America, India and Bulgaria. Leander C. Domingo

This is a worthy project by The Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) in Munoz, Nueva Ecija. Our group of farmers are interested to participate in this program. We are farmers from Barangay Maguinao, San Rafael, Bulacan and would gladly include this breed of carabao to augment our farming program. Please tell us how we can participate in this program.
