FDA: Imported softdrinks recalled

A NEW ZEALAND firm has recalled batches of imported softdrinks because small glass particles may be found on the rim of the bottles, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported on Wednesday. In an advisory, FDA said five brands of Phoenix softdrinks in 330ml clear glass bottles with “best before dates” between April 13, 2016 and July 7, 2016 were voluntarily recalled by its manufacturer, The Better Drinks Company. The five brands affected were Phoenix Cola, Phoenix Lemonade, Phoenix Light Cola, Phoenix Orange Fizz, and Phoenix Raspberry Fizz. The Ministry for Primary Industries in New Zealand assured that only the products with the mentioned dates were affected.
