    Kris Aquino to interview ‘Digong’
On Sunday, Kris Aquino announced over her Instagram account that she is back in the interviewer’s seat with a one-on-one with no less than the fiery man of the moment, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Whether or not the face-to-face will be a “Yellowtard vs. Dutertard” showdown remains to be seen, what the close ties of former President Aquino’s sister with the Liberal Party [LP]. LP of course is the staunchest opposition to Mr. Duterte’s administration and political party PDP Laban.

Aquino’s interview with the President by the way is a one-off, for she has not announced definite plans for a TV comeback, after leaving ABS-CBN and signing up as a talent of Eat Bulaga producer Tony Tuviera’s APT Entertainment.

She posted on Instagram @kriscaquino: “7 months of not hosting on TV. I promised myself, babalik ako for [a]once in a lifetime, one on one interview. #Davao #11112016 PH.”

The post garnered 9,871 likes in a single day, and was immediately picked up by broadcast networks and entertainment portals for sharing.

Dubbed “Queen of All Media,” Aquino’s interview with the President will simultaneously air over government station People’s Television Network (PTV4) and TV5 on November 11 at 4:30 p.m.

It will be remembered that Aquino first pursued a career in talkshows on PTV 4 via Kris, produced by Viva Television. At the time her movie career had been slowing down since she was pregnant with her eldest Josh, her son by former action star Philip Salvador.

As word about the pending one-on-one between Aquino and Mr. Duterte continues to spread, a well of comments from netizens has also opened up.

In reply to CNN Philippines’ post about Aquino’s TV comeback ANC commentator, journalist, former press secretary [under the ‘80s’ Aquino administration], and newly appointed ambassador to the United Nations, Teddyboy Locsin Jr. twitted on Monday: “@cnnphilippines this Kris is so spoiled, half the time I missed state functions because she wanted to go shopping and I carried the bags.”

Netizens quickly reacted to this revelation, but one particular comment seemed to have tickled Locsin pink. @ILoveFriesandSundaes posted: “Girls typically pick on guys like that when they’re cute,” to which Locsin replied, “Well, don’t just sympathize with me: watch her, she always surprises.”
