A suspected female drug pusher was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Baguio City on September 2. PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. said an entrapment operation was conducted in Barangay Irisan, Baguio City that resulted to the arrest of Annabell Malapit, 40, alias Belle. Seized from Malapit include three transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, one caliber 9mm Parabellum pistol, a hand grenade, and the buy-bust money. Malapit’s cohorts, Montilan Mangoranca and Leonardo Levy, managed to elude arrest after engaging the police in a car chase. Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed in court against the suspect.
