The family and supporters of the film action king Fernando Poe Jr. on Sunday offered Mass to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death.
FPJ, or Ronald Allan Kelley Poe, was born on August 20, 1939, and passed away on December 14, 2004 at the age of 65.
He ran for president and lost to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
His wake and funeral procession saw a huge outpouring of support from his fans and supporters.
His daughter, Sen. Grace Poe, said in a statement the family is “truly grateful for the undying and undiminished love and support given to FPJ through these years.”
“As we mark a decade since his passing, we remain in awe of the enormous respect and remembrance by our people of FPJ and his works,” she said.
Poe’s wife, Ms. Susan Roces. and Senator Poe and husband Neil Llamanzares also offered flowers at the actor’s tomb at the Manila North Cemetery.
