• Festival promotes Makati as ‘business tourism hub’

THE Makati Tourism Foundation Inc. (MTFI) on Monday launched the first HoReCa or Hotel Restaurant Café/Catering festival in the country.

The HoReCa festival hopes to bring together competing hotels, restaurants, and cafes to promote Makati City, the country’s financial district, as a “business tourism hub.”

Triccia Dacer, chairperson and main proponent of HoReCa, said the event “is indeed the first and historic for Makati tourism.” She said they hope to promote a tourism experience that will touch on the richness of Makati’s cultural and business heritage.

With the theme, “Finest Footprint at its First,” the festival will feature tourism-related presentation, latest trends in booth dressing among participants, shows, workshops, and promotional deals on September 15 to 16 at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center.
