Defending champions Far Eastern University (FEU) ended their campaign in the first round of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) football tournament with a 4-0 victory against Adamson University (ADU) at the Mckinley Hill Stadium on Sunday.

FEU immediately launched aggressive attacks on ADU at the start of the match with Val Jurao attempting to score a goal but struck the bar.
The relentless assaults of the Tamaraws were rewarded with a penalty in the first 10 minutes of the contest following a hard foul on Rico Andes inside the box.
FEU star Paolo Bugas took the shot and scored a goal immediately after the foul to give his team a 1-0 lead.
Andes, on the other hand, scored a goal of his own in the 14th minute to double their lead to 2-0 going into halftime.
Adamson mounted counterattacks as play resumed for the second half but all were foiled by FEU’s tough defense.
Andes scored another goal in the 68th minute of the match.
The men from Morayta continued their attacks in the remaining minutes of the match led by Jurao and Eric Giganto.
As play entered extra time, Audie Menzi notched another goal to seal the Tamaraws’ strong finish in the first round of the tourney.
With the win, FEU is now No.3 in the league rankings after seven games.

It was followed by another draw against National University before they absorbed two consecutive defeats from leading teams De La Salle University (DLSU) and University of Santo Tomas (UST).
