Football For A Better Life (FFABL) continues its training program in the Northern Luzon area as it stages camp at the Benguet State University today.
After successful events held in Mindanao, the grassroots development is back in Luzon for another round of training sessions.
According to Cordillera Region Football Association President Frael Aquino, over a thousand participants from 43 elementary and secondary schools in the area are expected to take part in the event.
Philippine National Football Team pool members Simone Rota and Ashley Flores will be heading the free football clinics together with former Azkals Chieffy Caligdong and Ref Cuaresma.
Filipino-British standout Graham Caygill, who previously played for Loyola Meralco Sparks FC in the United Football League, will be present to mentor the young partakers.
“With the number of kids expected to join this event, it promises to be the biggest football event in the region,” Pru Life UK Chief Finance Office Lee Longa explained in an interview.
He added that they are pleased to continue to provide an avenue to support the development of the country’s future football players, especially in the provinces.
“We are happy that this time, players from this area are the ones to be given the opportunity to participate,” he said.
Two more legs will be staged in this year’s FFABL series with Subic being the last stop of the provincial tour before the final stage to be held in Pasig City.
