The Football For A Better Life’s (FFABL) grassroots training caravan in Mindanao continues with the opening of its Pagadian City Leg on November 12.
This is the first time that the program supported by British insurance brand Pru Life UK and Spear Sports Activation will hold an event in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Pru Life UK Chief Financial Officer Lee Longa said that they are overwhelmed with the reception from the participants in the region.
“We are happy to have been able to bring the FFABL to Pagadian City for the first time and we are impressed with the response from different provinces and cities in the region,” he said.
Philippine National Football Team assistant coach Chieffy Caligdong and ex-Azkal and Stallion FC first-choice goalkeeper Ref Cuaresma will be leading the contingent of local football personalities that will be gracing the event.
FFABL and Pru Life UK football ambassador Graham Caygill, who previously played for the Loyola Meralco Sparks FC in the United Football League, will also be present during the training sessions.
A total of 60 teams from all over the region are expected to join the two-day camp that will be held at the Dumalinao Regional Pilot School during the first day and at the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Center on the final day.
The Pagadian City Leg of FFABL is the seventh edition of the development tour for 2017 and the fourth event of the program in Mindanao.
