The ninth leg of Football For A Better Life (FFABL) will be held at the Remy Field, Subic Bay Freeport Zone on Saturday.
The grassroots football development program is an initiative of British insurance brand Pru Life UK.
This will be the second year that the FFABL will be holding camp in the location for the benefit of aspiring football players in Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga and Tarlac.
The training clinics have five categories namely Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, as well as the Men’s and Women’s Open divisions.
Around 600 participants from 50 different teams from the area are expected to take part in the clinics and post-training tournament.
Among the coaches are Philippine National Football Team pool members Simone Rota and Ashely Flores, Azkals assistant coach Chieffy Caligdong and former United Football League star Graham Caygill.
“After our last leg in Baguio, and still with the NCR leg remaining after Subic, we have already exceeded the total number of participants in last year’s series and even the Philippine Sports Commission is extending help for our final leg, which will be played either in ULTRA or at the Rizal Memorial football field,” said Spears Sports and Activation head Albert Almendralejo, organizer of the FFABL.
Almendralejo said that after the final provincial leg, they would be looking forward to their penultimate stop in the National Capital Region in the coming weeks.
