Field trips to be regulated

UNNECESSARY activities like swimming, carnival rides, trips to malls and noontime television shows are no longer considered part of the educational field trips of Quezon City students enrolled in public schools. As provided under the newly approved city’s field trip policy, activities that are less educational and too costly for students will no longer be allowed as the QC government recognizes the need to regulate the conduct of educational field trips in the city. The ordinance also reiterates provisions of the local school board resolution directing all public schools to include in their yearly academic activities educational field trips to different cultural heritage sites within the city.
