• Fil-Am, cohort nabbed for weed-laced candy

Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna: Two persons, one of them a Filipino-American, were arrested for producing and selling candies laced with marijuana to students in Cabuyao, Laguna.

Laguna Police chief of Intelligence, Supt. Vicente Cabatingan, identified the first to be arrested as Bobby Albert Bobcock, 32, a Filipino-American, after operatives swooped down on his house in Spring Subdivision, Barangay San Antonio in San Pedro City recently.

His alleged cohort—Jan Allen Ledesma, 23, a Computer Engineering student – was subsequently arrested in a buy-bust at Pulo-Diezmo Road, Barangay Pulo in Cabuyao City.

Cabatingan said Ledesma is the one selling the weed-laced candies to students.

Operatives found a small room with an oven, baking molds, glass and marijuana seeds that served as Bobcock’s “growing room.”

The suspect reportedly mixes marijuana in chocolates or gelatin and mold for candies sold for P100 to P500 each, depending on the amount of marijuana it contain.
