Filipino hoops icon Lim Eng Beng passes away


Philippine basketball icon Lim Eng Beng died on Monday morning at age 64 because of liver cancer, according to a report published in The La Sallian, the official publication of De La Salle University. Lim led La Salle to win the National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball title in 1971. Lim also played as a pro in the Philippine Basketball Association where he won several awards among them mythical five member (1975 and 1978), sportsmanship award (1980), 25 Greatest Players (2000) and 40 Greatest Players (2015).
