• Filipinos still winless in AFF U-16 tilt

The Philippine Under-16 national football team remained winless in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) U-16 Championship after losing to Myanmar, 0-3, on Saturday at the National Olympic Stadium in Cambodia.

After suffering a 1-4 loss against the Singaporeans last July 30, the young Filipinos are still on the prowl to clinch their first ever win in the 10th edition of the regional football tilt. With three consecutive losses in the elimination stage of the competition, the Philippines now remain in the bottom of Group B. The young Azkals will have a long break before their next game as they are scheduled to meet Asian powerhouse team Australia on August 5.
