The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) issues a last call for the 8th Pandayang Lino Brocka Political Film and New Media Festival. Students, independent or amateur filmmakers, and film collectives are encouraged to submit their works for selection and possible screening until July 30 2016.

The festival accepts works produced from 2010 onwards under the theme “Tell the Story of the People’s Aspirations.” Issues to be explored can include, but are not limited to, human rights, land reform, national sovereignty and territorial integrity, labor issues, corruption, education and culture, LGBT rights, economic sovereignty and patrimony, protection of environmental and natural resources, indigenous peoples and minorities, the peace process, and international peace and solidarity.
