The 1st National Youth Forum on Heritage (1NYFH), sponsored by the RFM Foundation Inc., together with Project Saysay, The Outstanding Students of the Philippines Region 3 Alumni Community of Heroes Inc., and Proyekto PH, extends its deadline for presentations until September 25.
Young Filipino heritage scholars, advocates, and cultural workers are called to join the four-day gathering scheduled on November 11 to 14 at the Philippine High School for the Arts, National Arts Center, Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna.
With the theme “Entering the Future Remembering the Past,” the NYFH program is designed to serve as platform for the Filipino youth who advocate for heritage. It is focused on youth participation in nation-building through heritage promotion and conservation, and on heritage education for the youth anchored in awareness and capacity-building.
Eighty delegates from various regions who are advocates of heritage, cultural workers, activists, scholars, students, professionals, artists, and/or government officials and employees, 18 to 30 years old, before November 11 are encouraged to submit papers on various topics including Cultural Heritage and the Youth Programs, Heritage Awareness Strategies, Harmony in Diversity: Intercultural Exchanges, Cultural Heritage Documentation and Research, and Exploring Cultural Heritage Beyond.

The 1NYFH is co-presented by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Philippine High School for the Arts, with the support of the RFM Corporation, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
