After a series of meetings with counterparts from other government agencies, the PCSO I-HOPE (Integrated Health for Overall Productivity and Empowerment) program has finally started its first leg of Orientation and Coordination visit held at Mt. Sabrina Panoramic View & Resort, General Santos City on May 18.
The program was conceived in an effort to achieve Strategic Measure under the Performance Agreement Negotiation (PAN) with the Governance Commission for GOCCs Strategic (GCG), which aims to implement responsive and efficient fund provision for health and charitable programs of the government and to provide access to Charity services for four National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) identified poorest provinces, namely Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sarangani and Sulu.
PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan together with Charity Assistance Department Manager Rubin Magno, Muriel Pajarillo, Charity Assistance Department Special Projects Division (CAD-SPD) Chief and other PCSO employees were present during the orientation.
The PCSO I-HOPE program has been recognized and endorsed by the NAPC Lead Convener as a feasible measure that will contribute in addressing the 10 basic needs of the poor, particularly on health care.
The CAD-SPD aims to finish its conduct of visits and discussions with stakeholders from the aforesaid provinces towards the end of June 2017.
