First Philippine Guerilla Race fires off December 15

The first Hunters ROTC The Guerilla Race Series in the country will fire off at 6 a.m. on December 15, 2013, at Nuvali, Santa Rosa, Laguna. Developed by a Philippine Army Scout Ranger, the TrueNorth Guerilla Race Series will push participants to the limit with a battery of obstacles.

The Guerilla Race is different from other adventure races because participants will not be provided any map to be consulted or challenges to be followed. The ultimate goal is to push one’s physical strength and mental stamina to their limits as each runner go through barriers of water, fire, mud, spider nets, barbed wires, high walls and tunnels until he reached the finish line. Hence, the race’s motto is “Finish the race . . . or die trying.”
