Fitch upgrades PH credit rating to ‘BBB’

FITCH Ratings has raised the Philippines’ sovereign credit rating a notch higher to ‘BBB’ from ‘BBB-‘ with a stable outlook, citing the country’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals.

By raising the country’s lower medium grade rating to BBB, Fitch has placed the Philippines just a step away from the upper medium grade investment grade rating. MAYVELIN U. CARABALLO
