AT LEAST five people were arrested on Tuesday dawn after police operatives swooped down on a suspected drug den in a suburban village in Cabadbaran City in Agusan Del Norte, police reports said on Tuesday.
Reports reaching the Philippine National Police National Operation Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City (Metro Manila) showed the four suspects were arrested after police operatives swooped down at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday on a shanty being used as a drug den located at Purok 3, Barangay Catugasan in Cabadbaran City.
The police reports said the operation was jointly conducted by Cabadbaran City Police Station and the Provincial Intelligence Bureau of the Agusan Del Norte Provincial Police Office.
Arrested during the operation were Lodeto Navarrosa, Lito Navarossa, Jun Navarrosa, Joy Navarossa and Edgar Buco, the police reports said.
The reports added the operation was carried out by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Anthony Vitor of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Cabadbaran City.
The reports added that the search warrant was issued against Lodeto Navarrosa who reportedly owns the said house. Police seized from the house one plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu,” two disposable lighters and one small scissor.
The police reports said seized from the possession of Buco, who was inside the shanty at the time of the operation, were two sachets of suspected “shabu,” 13 disposable lighters; improvised needle, crumpled strips of aluminum foil, and aluminum foil.
The arrested suspects are now detained at the Cabadbaran City Police Station while appropriate charges are being readied for filing against them.
