Five well-known Filipina artists unite for Appassionata, an exciting collaborative exhibit of paintings and sculptures.
They are Rosario Bitanga, Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, Lenore RS Lim, Susan Fetalvero-Roces and Marivic Rufino, each presenting diverse styles and backgrounds.
The opening of the exhibit was recently held at the Altro Mondo Gallery in Greenbelt 5, Makati City.
Passionate about art and life, their artworks in colors and shapes provoke and amaze the viewer. Curated by cultural icon Deanna Ongpin-Recto, the show is a “must-see.” Art critic Cid Reyes describes it as “a tempest of their creation.”
Guests of honor at the well-attended unveiling reception were National Artists Napoleon Abueva, (Sculpture), Arturo Luz (Visual Arts) and Virgilio Almario (Literature).
Meanwhile, an exclusive gathering to celebrate the splendor and depth of the Louis XIII Grande Champagne Cognac was held at the Presidential Suite of the illustrious Manila Hotel—a perfect setting for the “King of Cognacs.”
The Louis XIII hails from the House of Remy Martin and went through four generations of cell masters to be perfected into the rich blend it is today. Manila Hotel president and director, lawyer Joey Lina led the ceremonial opening of the bottle at the event.
Present at the intimate dinner were Remy Cointreau managing director for Southeast Asia, the Middle East and India Xavier Desaulles, Autostrada Motore Inc. chairman and president Wellington “Willie” Soong, Louis XIII brand manager Su Chen, Remy Cointreau Brands Philippines commercial manager Joey Pineda, and Future Trade International top executives: presidentJames Du Vivier, managing director Noel Sebastian, national sales director Boy Tabelon, and chief marketing director Yogi Ringler.
Nothing but a feast for the senses to match the ultra-premium cognac was prepared by Manila Hotel executive chef Konrad Walter for the guests.
