ZAMBOANGA CITY: The City Engineer’s Office has estimated the damage to local government-initiated infrastructures due to recent flashfloods to roughly P10 million. However, city Engr. Luis Despalo said the worth of property damaged could be higher once validation is completed. Despalo said his personnel are checking the infrastructures individually to determine the exact cost of damage. Despalo identified the infrastructures damaged due to continuous rains that battered this city from October 4 to 10 as mostly bridges and riprap facilities located in the Barangays of Ayala, Maasin, Sinunuc, Malagutay, Dulian, San Roque, Pasonanca, Lumbangan, Putik, Salaan, Tolosa and Tumaga.
