Flight to Japan makes emergency landing due to ‘smoke in cockpit’

No one was hurt when an All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight bound for Japan made an emergency landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA T3) on Friday morning.

The plane was forced to land at Terminal 3 due to a reported “smoke in the cockpit” at around 9:54 a.m., initial reports from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.

CAAP said that the ANA plane with flight number NH 950 headed for Narita, Japan departed 9:54 a.m. but had to land at 10:19 a.m. due to the smoke.

There were about 187 people on board in the plane, passengers and crew members.

At present, CAAP continues to investigate what caused the smoke in the cockpit. PNA
