FILIPINO fighters Eduard Fola–yang and Eugene Toquero aim for huge victory, while former world boxing champion Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton will make her debut in One Fighting Championship Rise of Heroes fight card today at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Folayang, who holds 13-4 win-loss record, faces Japanese Kotetsu Boku (21-9-2 card) in the co-main event lightweight bout while Toquero (4-1) takes on unbeaten Malaysian fighter Gianni Subba (3-0) in flyweight bout.
“I’m ready to give my best Friday night. I can’t wait and I’m not bothered,” said Folayang. “He (Boku) is also a good striker that’s why I need to be more careful. But I’m going to win this fight.”
For his part, Toquero said: “My experience will prevail over Subba. I won’t give him a chance.”
Julaton, a former World Boxing Organization super bantamweight champion, debuts against Egyptian kick boxer Aya Saeid Saber.
The main event features reigning ONE FC bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes (15-3) and Japanese Masakatsu Ueda (18-2-2), a former Shooto featherweight kingpin.
In other matches, Aussie Rob Lisita meets former Legend FC bantamweight champion Japanese Yusuke Kawanago in a rematch, Team Lakay fighter Rey Docyogen battles Guam-based Joshua Alvarez, MMA newcomer Jujeath Nagaowa faces Indian seven-time kickboxing champion Jeet Toshi; Japanese Tatsuya Mizuno battles Brazilian Leandro Ataidas in the middleweight division; English James McSweeney tackles Australian Chris Lokteff in the heavyweight division, and Burmese Aung La Sang meets Egyptian Mahmoud Salama in the middleweight division.
