Food innovation center to rise in Benguet town


LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: The Benguet State University (BSU) and the Department of Science and Technology-Cordillera (DOST-Cordillera) recently forged a memorandum of agreement for the establishment of  a Food Innovation Center in this strawberry-producing capital town. The partnership aims to transform technological and scientific concepts into products and enable product innovations and diversifications to maximize value addition in diverse agricultural and fishery resources. Under the agreement, BSU and DOST-Cordillera shall provide a package of technical support and formulate the center’s operations manual.
