    May I say that Americans are against the idea of sending more soldiers to the RP for any reason. We have not forgotten the “Smith” affair that resulted in the detention without trial of a US citizen for nearly 10 years because of a trumped up affair, and
    blatant violation of international agreement. We want our soldiers sent home, not more sent to countries that don’t want them. Nor do we need to spend money to do what Philippine taxes should do.
