Ford calls for entries in auto journalism tilt


FORD Phils. announced it is inviting journalists from print, online and broadcast media to submit entries to the 2014 Henry Ford Awards (HFA), the only automotive journalism awards in the country.

HFA celebrates and recognizes excellence in automotive journalism. Now on its 14th year, the awards bring the best in print, online and broadcast journalism by honoring the valuable role that journalists play in shaping the automotive industry.

“We at Ford are proud of the Henry Ford Awards and the recognition it brings to our media partners, who have been nothing but dedicated and passionate towards their profession. For 14 years now, we have seen how stories have evolved, how our media friends have grown in their craft, and how their credible and accurate reportage have positively contributed to the growth of the Philippine automotive industry,” said Joseph Ayllón, assistant vice president for communications at Ford Phils.

HFA was first launched in the Philippines in 2000 and has since been updated with additional categories. This year 12 awards in eight regular categories and four special categories will be given out. Winners will be named in December.

Entries may be nominated by editors, publishers, TV producers and fellow participating journalists using the official entry form available at Deadline for submission of all entries is on October 1.
