FORD Phils. announced it had partnered with Fondo Manila in a road cycling event called Northern Expedition where 40 professional and leisure cyclists went on a two-day ride. The route covered 80 kilometers of the Halsema Highway, the highest elevation in the Philippine highway system at 7,400 meters, and a 70-kilometer stretch of Ambuklao Road near Baguio City.
Ford said three Ford EcoSports were used as support vehicles during the journey.
“The all-new EcoSport is full of innovative and practical features that help make life easier, including 20 practical storage spaces, ample room for utmost comfort, and a versatile cargo space enough to fit 705 liters of cargo,” said Minnie Valencia-Bustamante, vice president for marketing and sales at Ford Phils. “Add these on top of a stylish and fuel-efficient package, and the EcoSport truly is a one-of-a-kind vehicle for all urban adventure needs.”
Ford said the EcoSport is set to attract a new generation of urban customers who are searching for an all-around vehicle in which to explore the city.
“We share in the excitement of our customers with the ongoing deliveries of the all-new EcoSport,” said Valencia-Bustamante.
