Former insurance agency chief slain


The former head of the National Insurance Commission was killed by robbers who barged inside his house in Bacoor, Cavite on Friday afternoon, the police reported on Saturday.

Cavite police director Senior Supt. Joselito Esquivel said policemen found Eduardo Malinis, 75, hogtied and unconscious on the floor of his home at No. 331, St. Joseph Subdivision, Barangay Panapaan 3.

They rushed him to the St. Dominic Hospital but he died after a few hours.
