• Former model Ruby lehmann crowned Mrs. Philippines-Globe 2013

Ruby Jane Lehmann, a 39-year-old mother and former model, stole the show when she was hailed as the winner of this year’s Mrs. Philippines-Globe pageant. Now dubbed as the country’s most beautiful married woman, Lehmann bested 17 other finalists who were also seeking to take home the title and the crown.

A true embodiment of beauty and substance, Lehmann manages to balance her different roles and fulfill her obligations to her family and to the society. Besides being a good wife and mother, she also excels in her job as a restaurateur.

During the coronation night held at Sunset Pavilion, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, Lehmann and the other candidates proved to themselves, as well as to all the guests, that being married or having children should not stop women from going after their dreams.

All eyes were on the contenders, who celebrated the different seasons of life through their glamorous outfits. First, they walked down the ramp in colorful wraps by Dita Sandico-Ong, then showed off their sexy, summer-ready figures in floral swimsuits by Danny Booc and finally, sashayed the ramp with Arnold Galang’s cocktail wear. Later in the show, the finalists also looked stunning and elegant in their cocktail wear and evening gowns created by top designers Ronald Enrico, Pablo Cabahug, Jonti Martinez and Edwin Uy.

At the end of the night, Lehmann was named as Mrs. Philippines-Globe 2013 and brought home up to P300,000 worth of prizes. She will also have the honor of representing the Philippines in the Mrs. Globe World Finals to be held in October at Shenzhen, China.

Besides Lehmann, the pageant’s major winners also included Woman of Substance titlist Maria Rizza Padilla-Singson, 1st runner-up Maria Adelaida Paltu-ob, 2nd runner-up Rachel Ann Felix, and 3rd runner-up Jessica Eribal.

Special awards were also given to some candidates who stood out during the competition.

Lehmann won as Most Elegant Woman, Padilla-Singson was chosen as Mrs. Restylane Body Beautiful, Paltu-ob bagged both Best in Talent and Wacoal Career Woman of the Year awards, and Felix won the Make Up Factory Most Beautiful Face award. Similarly, Arah Margarita Ty was voted by her co-finalists as Mrs. Friendship, Ruby Papio won the People’s Choice Award, Michelle Garcia received the Life Story Award, and Jessie Lou Lucero was chosen as Solane Mother of the Year.

One of the biggest international beauty pageants for married women, Mrs. Globe aims to empower misses as a vital part of the society. The pageant also recognizes that their achievements, charitable acts and stories can serve as inspiration to others.
