Four injured in Zamboanga ravine road accident

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Four people were injured when an armored van fell in a ravine in Zamboanga City, police said on Sunday.

Police said the vehicle was heading to Zamboanga City from Ipil town in Zamboanga Sibugay province when it avoided a collision with a motorcycle, which crossed its path in Sitio Daap in the village of Sangali.

The van first hit the guiderail of the highway and ploughed to the ravine.

Police identified the driver of the van as Arnold Miral and passengers Edgar Esmilla and Asbi Entoman, both security guards, and Leo Maximo Sebastian, a bank teller for the Bando de Oro.

It was not immediately known whether the police apprehended the motorcycle driver or not, or whether he is liable to the accident.
