Fowler bets more events like Vegas bring major win

LAS VEGAS: Rickie Fowler plans to add more events to his PGA schedule as he hunts for his first major title, starting with this week’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The 26-year-old American opens his 2015-16 campaign with his first Las Vegas appearance since 2010 and hopes to build on a 2014-15 season that saw him win The Players Championship to snap a three-year win drought, add the Scottish Open title and then win the Deutsche Bank Championship, a US PGA playoff event. Fowler will play alongside Jimmy Walker, a Presidents Cup teammate who won twice on the US PGA Tour last season, and US 2016 Ryder Cup captain Davis Love, who won at Greensboro last August.
